Performance and Capabilities
The L, LE, and XLE trim levels all come equipped with the same 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. This gives the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross an output of 169 horsepower and 151 lb-ft of torque. You won't be lighting up the racetrack, but this small crossover still has plenty of driving fun to offer on the highway.
Front-wheel drive is standard. Drivers can also decide to opt for an all-wheel-drive system in all three trim levels.
In-Car Technology and Safety Features
The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross comes loaded with useful tech and safety features. Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0 features, including Dynamic Radar Cruise Control and Road Sign Assist, are standard, as are smartphone integration features like Apple CarPlay®.
Upgrading to the LE trim level gets you wireless smartphone charging and a Blind Spot Monitor, along with roof rails. You can also add a moonroof and a premium nine-speaker audio system to this trim level. The XLE is available with a power liftgate that can make it easier to load up after a trip to the grocery store, and we also like the available Adaptive Front Lighting system that makes it easier to see the road in front of you at night.
