The 2022 Toyota Tundra is nearly here, and it's ready to make a big statement. This capable truck hasn't received a major refresh in more than a decade, so it's pulling out all the stops with its bold design, hybrid power, and advanced capabilities. Here's what you can expect to see when the Toyota Tundra arrives at Hall Toyota Elizabeth City.
Impressive Power and Capabilities
The 2022 Toyota Tundra will offer two powertrain options. A twin-turbo V6 engine that produces 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque is the standard, but drivers can also opt for a more powerful hybrid option. With a V6 engine and electric motors, the 2022 Toyota Tundra has a total output of 437 horsepower and 583 lb-ft of torque!
This Toyota truck can tow up to 12,000 lb and has a max payload rating of 1,940 lb. You can also choose between three bed sizes, ranging from 5.5 feet to eight feet long. We also like the available air springs that can be controlled manually, allowing you to lower your truck to ease loading.
Off-Road Readiness
Those air springs can also be used to raise your 2022 Toyota Tundra for off-road adventuring. The TRD Pro model is still around, offering all-terrain tires, a specialized suspension, and other features that make it easier to take on rough terrain. The TRD Off-Road Package is also available on some other trim levels.
Advanced In-Car Tech
The interior of the 2022 Toyota Tundra also receives a major upgrade, including new in-car tech like a digital assistant and an available 14-inch touchscreen. The cloud-based navigation system is new too. It can save offline maps for you in case you're driving through an area without service. We also love the safety features, like a Blind Spot Monitor with Trailer Merge Warning.
