Performance Features
The 2026 Toyota Highlander is offered with two distinct powertrains. The 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine generates up to 265 horsepower and 310 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid powertrain delivers up to 243 combined horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The 2027 Toyota Highlander is the first all-electric Toyota three-row SUV. It uses an electric motor to deliver up to 221 net horsepower and 198 lb-ft of torque in FWD models. The AWD models use a dual-motor powertrain to deliver up to 338 net horsepower and 323 lb-ft of torque.
Technology Features
There’s an eight-inch Toyota Audio Multimedia touchscreen in the 2026 Toyota Highlander, which features wireless smartphone integration and SiriusXM® satellite radio. It’s also available with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. The 2027 Toyota Highlander upgrades to an expansive 14-inch touchscreen. It features SiriusXM® with 360L satellite radio, offers Spotify® streaming, and now features full-screen turn-by-turn navigation on the digital gauge cluster.
Interior Highlights
The look of the 2027 Toyota Highlander has also been completely reimagined. The three-row cabin features SofTex®-trimmed seating for six or seven passengers. The 2026 Toyota Highlander is offered with seven- or eight-passenger seating. It features SofTex®-trimmed or leather-trimmed seats, depending on the model you choose. The 2026 model offers optional heated front seats, but the newer model makes them standard alongside ventilated front seats and heated second-row seats.
